Pro-Am Benefit Tourney

The second annual Queen of Hearts Exhibition Pro-Am is from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Newport Beach Tennis Club, 2601 Eastbluff, Newport Beach. Professional players, including Rick Leach and others, will be paired with amateurs in a tennis tournament to benefit research into ovarian cancer. Admission is free and the event also features a “Swing for a Cure” clinic led by tennis pro Vic Braden.

Open House

Project Playhouse — the annual fundraiser for HomeAid OC, a nonprofit reaching out to homeless families — marks its 20th anniversary by unveiling its newest collection of playhouses. The event is from noon to 6 p.m., in the Edwards Court at the Irvine Spectrum Center.

Mix + Mingle

The Ensign Fund, made up of parents of students at Ensign Intermediate School, hold the 2nd annual Mix + Mingle fundraiser for the school. The event is from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 215 E. 15th St., Newport Beach (Balboa Peninsula). OCC Concert
