Chili and a side of politics

Residents in the Halecrest-Hall of Fame area of Costa Mesa sponsored a chili cookoff over the weekend that attracted several politicians. Mayor Allan Mansoor and his challenger in the November race for Assembly, Phu Nguyen, a businessman, each prepared dishes for the cook-off.
