‘Green Tie Exhibit’

The Environmental Nature Center, 1601 16th St., Newport Beach, has opened an art show featuring mixed media, sculpture and photography. Art pieces from the show will be auctioned off Saturday at a “Green Tie Affair” auction, with proceeds going to the ENC. ‘Junk in the Trunk’

The Costa Mesa Senior Center holds the “Junk in the Trunk” fundraiser. Pancakes and sausages will be available for $5 from 8 a.m. to noon, and the flea market is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is in the parking lot at the Senior Center, 695 W. 19th St. Members pay $10 to reserve a spot and non-members pay $15. Breakfast with Navy SEALs

As part of its Distinguished Speaker program, the Orange County Council of the Navy League of the United States will host a presentation by Navy SEALs assigned to Team Six, the most elite unit in the Navy’s special forces wing. The event will follow a full buffet breakfast and social starting at 8:30 a.m., and is at the Costa Mesa Hilton, 3050 Bristol St. Cost to attend is $25 per person. Co-Parenting Classes

Support Youth Work Team

The Youth Work Team from Mesa Verde United Methodist Church invites you to support team members by dining in or ordering take-at the Newport Beach Rib Co. in order to help raise funds for their summer work project in Susanville, Calif. Twenty percent of sales on take-out, ordered between 10:30 a.m. and 9 p.m., and during dine-in hours from noon to 9 p.m., will go toward the Youth Work Team’s project to help elderly people through the summer project. Aerial Fitness Demo Day

Kim Phuc
