Trend Watch: TV star hosts shopping event

“Pretty Little Liars” star Janel Parrish will be at the Foreign Exchange clothing shop at the Irvine Spectrum on Saturday.

Parrish will host the celebrity shopping event, posing for pictures, picking out her favorite pieces from the shop’s collections and chatting with fans, according to a news release.

Also making appearances are Lindsay Yenter and Ashlee Frazier from “The Bachelor.”

Celebrity stylists and fashion bloggers will also be on hand, acting as Foreign Exchange “fashion experts” and lending their expertise to shoppers. Experts expected to attend include Cat Wright, Marcellas Reynolds, Jennifer Chan, Toni Ferrara, Reichelle Palo, Roxy of RedCarpetRoxy.com and Jenny of GoodBadandFab.com.

Treats will be provided by Goodie Delights and Hint Water. Parrish will make her appearance from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Yenter and Frazier will be at the event from 3 to 4 p.m.

Longchamp, Instyle Magazine event at SCP

InStyle Magazine and upscale accessories label Longchamp at South Coast Plaza are hosting a preview of the LM Cuir Collection of leather handbags Thursday.

Guests also will enjoy refreshments and complimentary manicures inspired by the new handbag collection. The event is from 6 to 8 p.m. and a portion of sales from Thursday to Sunday will benefit the Festival of Children Foundation.

‘Go Orange for Boston’

Newport Beach’s Orangetheory Fitness is supporting those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings with its “Go Orange for Boston” event.

For every Orangetheory Fitness member who signs up for the Wahoo’s Orange County 5K on Sunday, the fitness studio will donate half of the $40 registration fee to The One Fund Boston to help the victims of the Boston tragedy, according to a news release.

Members must provide proof of registration to Orangetheory before Saturday. Participants will receive an orange team shirt, along with a blue and yellow armband, the colors of the Boston Athletic Assn.

The Wahoo’s OC 5K starts at 7:30 a.m. at the Orange County Fair and Event Center, 88 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa.

Rebecca Taylor tote in time for mom

Calling all husbands: Mother’s Day is next weekend and beloved fashion designer Rebecca Taylor is offering a free tote with a purchase of $350 or more in honor of the big day.

The one-of-a-kind tote features a drawing by Taylor’s illustrator husband, Wayne Pate, according to a news release. The tote is available in stores May 12 through 17 and online at rebeccataylor.com from May 14 to 17.

Pate’s design for the bag was inspired by spring.

“The drawing of poppies embodies those little magical moments that life gives you for free… they remind me of the south of France, where there is an endless sea of them everywhere you look,” he said in a statement.

DJULA hits Bloomies

Parisian luxury jewelry brand DJULA is now at Bloomingdale’s in South Coast Plaza.

This marks the jewelry brand’s debut in the U.S., according to a news release.

Leading European jewelry designer Alexandre Corrot started DJULA in 1994. Each year, the designer creates more than 200 pieces in his Parisian atelier, rue Saint Honore, behind the famous Place Vendome, the release said.

The latest collection “draws inspiration from the 1970s, featuring minimalist pieces designed to become the wearer’s second skin. DJULA pieces are light and geometric, created with meticulous precision.”

Shoe designer holding trunk show

Shoe designer Stuart Weitzman will have a trunk show at South Coast Plaza from May 11 to 13.

Guests will get the first look at the new fall collection and a chance to preorder the line’s various styles from boots, wedges and stilettos.

And the iconic shoe label is celebrating 20 years with its 5050 boot, the “legendary over-the-knee boot” that has women fawning over it everywhere. Those who attend the trunk show will also have a chance to order the 5050 boot.
