OCC Job and Internship Fair

Recruiters will be on hand for Orange Coast College’s annual Job and Internship Fair. It will take place in the campus’ Quad from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be open to the public and free parking will be available at the Orange County Fairgrounds lots at Fairview Road and Arlington Drive. CdM Chamber Luncheon

The Corona del Mar Chamber of Commerce will hold a luncheon meeting at Five Crowns restaurant that will focus on the ExplorOcean/Newport Harbor Nautical Museum and plans to revitalize Balboa Village and the Fun Zone. Parkinson’sFitness Class

Talking Trash

Mike Carey, director of the Orange Coast College Recycling Center, will give a talk called “You Are What You Trash: the 3R’s of Recycling,” at 7 p.m. in the OCC Library Lecture Room. Cost to attend if a $5 donation or a gently used book. OCC is at 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa.

OCC Original Play Festival

The Orange Coast College Repertory will present seven original short plays, including ones written by OCC students. Shows will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday and April 21 and 22, as well as at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission to the shows at OCC’s Drama Studio Lab Theatre is free. OCC is at 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa.

Do You Ping Pong?

Orange Coast College is offering a recreational table tennis program from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the OCC Fitness Center, at Fairview Road and Monitor Way, in Costa Mesa. Cost is $20 per month. To register, call (714) 432-5880.

After School at ENC

The Environmental Nature Center, 1601 E. 16th St., Newport Beach, presents an after-school program with naturalist Alex Lane for children ages 7 to 12. Classes will be given at the ENC from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Thursdays through May, except on April 12. The fee to sign up for the class is $6 for non-members and $5 for ENC members. William Cloke will give a talk, titled “Why Romantic Relationships Stink and What You Can Do About It,” as part of an Inside Edge breakfast program. Green Coast Day at OCC

As part of the seventh annual Green Coast Day program at Orange Coast College, Glen MacDonald, director of UCLA’s Institute of the Environment and Sustainability will give a presentation about the implications of climate change for Southern California. This talk, which will be free and open to the public, is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. in the Robert B. Moore Theatre at OCC, 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa.

Kun Opera at UCI

UC Irvine’s Drama Department and Chinese Kwun Opera Society will present a Kun Opera demonstration and performance, from 10 to 11:50 a.m., at the Nixon Theatre at UCI. The event will be free and open to the public.

Town Meeting

The Corona del Mar residents Assn. and CdM Business Improvement District will co-host the annual Town Meeting, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Sherman Library & Gardens, 2647 E. Coast Hwy.
