A 46-year-old woman told Community Animal Network volunteers that she was taking her two cats to the county pound because she was moving in with her boyfriend who didn’t like cats.

The single woman’s comments motivated volunteer Jen Carmichael to post and network the unpopular woman’s story on Facebook.

Soon, a local office was buzzing with concern, which led to the tortoise shell kitties, known as Karma and Zen, being rescued.
