E-Waste Collection

Goodwill of Orange County and the city of Newport Beach will have a free electronic waste collection, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the city’s Corporation Yard, 592 Superior Ave., Newport Beach. Items that can be disposed of include laptops, personal computers, mobile phones and other consumer electronics.

Peddler’s Market

The Piecemakers Country Store, 1720 Adams Ave., Costa Mesa, will put on its Peddler’s Market from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. As many as 90 vendors will be selling everything from flea market and rummage sale items to antiques and collectibles. ‘Saturday Academy in Dance’

The Claire Trevor School of the Arts at UC Irvine will present a “Saturday Academy in Dance,” a day-long program open to middle and high school students, parents, teachers and instructors. The day will include dance classes in tap, modern, jazz and ballet, a demonstration in the hi-tech Motion Capture Lab, a panel discussion and lunch. Tickets for the program, which will go from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the William Gillespie Performance Studio 1100 at UCI’s Claire Trevor School, cost $30 per person. Santa Ana Air Base Reunion

Orange Coast College’s Student Center will be the venue for a 70th anniversary celebration of the former Santa Ana Army Air Base. Military personnel who served at the SAAAB during World War II will be taking part in the annual reunion at OCC. The event starts at 11:30 a.m. OCC is at 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa. Lee-Loucks Piano Duo
