E-Book Training

Newport Beach Public Library offers a hands-on eBook training session from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Central Library Friends Room, 1000 Avocado Ave., Newport Beach. Library staff will demonstrate Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, iPad and Sony readers and provide personal instruction for downloading free eBooks from the Overdrive site. Nature Games Canceled

The “Nature Games” program of workshops for children at the Environmental Nature Center in Newport Beach has been canceled because of low enrollment, an ENC official said on Tuesday.

Canoe Under Holiday Lights

Enjoy outrigger canoeing for all ages and skill levels around Balboa islands under the glow of holiday lights decking out the watercraft and homes competing in the 103rd annual Boat Parade.
