Give him a court, and a net, and he would star. A two-sport standout in college, Lucas was twice Atlantic Coast Conference singles champion in tennis and was an All-American. Basketball? The quick-handed, 6-foot-3 guard led the Terps to two Elite Eight appearances and a 92-23 mark. Twice a first-team All-American, Lucas was the first pick overall in the 1976 <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="EVSPR000072" title="NBA Draft" href="/topic/sports/basketball/nba-draft-EVSPR000072.topic">NBA draft</a> and played 14 years there.
