ABOUT
The Daily Pilot started off in 1907 as a weekly newspaper named the Newport News.
Since then, it's been known as the Newport Harbor Pilot, the Orange Coast Daily Pilot and the Newport Beach-Costa Mesa Pilot.
The Pilot, with a circulation of about 30,000, has won numerous awards over the years, including best community newspaper in the state, awarded by the California Newspaper Publishers Assn., in 2004. In addition to its print product, the DailyPilot.com, launched in 2005, has more than 9,000 readers every day.
HOW TO SUBSCRIBE
In Newport Beach and Costa Mesa, subscriptions are only available by subscribing to The Times Orange County (800) 252-9141. In areas outside of Newport Beach and Costa Mesa, subscriptions to the Daily Pilot only are available by mail for $30 per month.
